The app uses the same compact layout on phones and desktops: the page doesn’t scroll; only the gutter, notebook, and results columns scroll. Nested [expenses.housing] headers form a tree; sum([expenses]) walks that branch and expenses.housing.mortgage looks up a leaf. The draggable strip at the bottom is the operator keypad; Insert holds paths, sections, aggregates, duplicate, and undo.
expenses.housing.mortgage when that line assigns a name in a section, otherwise @ksum([expenses])ans is the same as @r1 (previous line)#, or put # … after an expression on the same line[income] or dotted [expenses.housing] — nesting is the path, not indentationsum([expenses]) walks every numeric leaf under that branch (including expenses.housing, expenses.transport, …). Same for avg, min, max, countexpenses.housing.mortgage — follow the tree to a named leafjob = 45000 — later job, income.job, or still @job.
